If I replace it will my computer be faster?How offen do you need to replace your laptop battery?
I would say I've had my laptop for a good 2 1/2 years.Its begining to slow down and Lags alot when I play games on it that work perfectly with my desktop. Do I need to replace my rechargeable battery? If I do will it help with the slowness or just the life of the battery.
Batteries don't have anything to do with the speed of your Laptop. Replace laptop battery only when you want you laptop to have longer life, or when you feel that there's something wrong with the battery. Memory is a minor deal with the speed and the RAM is a major. Too much memory on your computer can slow it down, I suggest using only 3/4 of your memory in your laptop. RAM is the big deal. It stores up cache which also deals with memory. It's also built with the role of speeding up the computer. A 2gb ram should do the trick. Replacing batteries don't speed up the computer. If you already have a 2gb RAM, and your laptop is still slow, i suggest deleting the cache. If that doesn't work, contact a computer specialist/technician.
It will only improve laptop battery life, and how long it lasts on battery power. The lagging shouldnt have much to do with it really. But after 2 1/2 years its probably due a replacement battery anyway..Thats not a problem with your battery, sounds like your memory is getting low on your computer. A new battery wont help it be faster, just last longer when its not plugged up to an outlet.
Your battery has absolutely nothing to do with the speed of your computer. You probably have too many subprograms running or you need to clean your registry. Go into msconfig and turn off any applications that take lots of RAM and you recognize as not being used.
I tried it. I replaced a 234mb ram with a 2gb ram for my desktop computer and it works like heaven. The symptoms you have are not at all related to a bad battery. When a apple laptop battery goes bad, the power it supplies to your laptop diminishes after time. In other words, it may keep the laptop running 2 hours, then 1.5, 1 and so on. Sometimes, bad batteries can also precent the laptop from functioning properly too. If you get ample time on battery power, I am sure yours is fine.
