Canon camcorder battery question

I am sorry if this topic is not in the good forum, or is not directly related to DVD, but since it relates to a form of video, i decided to try to post my question in here. However, i wasn't sure in what section to post. Mods, feel free to move it if required.

I have a Canon DC100 analog camcorder. I'm very pleased with it, even if it's analog, it does well what I need it to do. The only problem is that that camcorder doesn't allow the use of third-party batteries. They won't charge, and the camera won't even start as it will display a "for InfoLithium battery only" error message. And those Canon branded camcorder batteries are way too expensive.

So, I'm wondering if someone knows if that "Infolithium" thing can be disabled somehow with a hack, key sequences, etc. I've tried googling for that but couldn't find anything useful. Since this site has some DVD hacks, maybe something similar exists somewhere for camcorders. If that kind of info doesn't exist, does someone know of a brand or supplier of third-party battery that does work with this camcorder and is compatible with the InfoLithium system ?

But maybe others have the same questions. Honestly speaking, a canon camcorder battery is too expensive in the brand store. If there are third-parties can supply the batteries which can also meet our needs, why not buy from them. Here is the link about a third - party who retails canon camcorder battery with good reputation. Hope this is useful for someone and he can check out to have a look around.
