Which pda battery life is the longest?
I'm a road warrior FED UP with the crummy battery life of my Palm Zire 71. I need something that doesn't need to be recharged after just a few hours of work! (While I'm ranting, I should also mention that I also resent the way it doesn't seem to work with third party accessories.) Has anybody run any tests to see which handhelds have the longest in-use PDA battery lives?
All I want is something that will save my data such as contact info, memos, etc., and be easy to read and use, and doesn't send me scrambling for a plug every few hours. Yeah MP3 would be nice, but I could live without it. Is that asking for so much? sigh. Signed, a former Palm fan.I was able to go well past 8 hours, but needed to dim the screen to its bare minimum. Sadly, the idea of using a PDA for 8 hours has passed and no model save the monochrome PDAs may do this anymore.
Anyone have guesses as to the PDA battery life of say a Tungsten T3/T2/E?My dream PDA: Palm Vx form factor, color, WiFi and a battery that needs to be recharged once a month with 24/7 usage . maybe 30 min a day usage.
I have some data collection software that runs for many hours on the IIIc and Zire 71, but I have the screen turned down to get well over 8 hours.My brother feel the same way. He would rather have long battery life than color. I have settled for the Palm Zire 21. Not even a back light to drain the precious battery.
