Universal laptop battery will work for you how do you know?
I'm looking into buying a universal laptop battery to extend the battery life of my laptop (hp dv2000) which has a resounding battery life of 2 and a half hours browsing the internet. No, the battery's not old or damaged. That's really how long it lasts. I don't plan on using it away from power for long anyways, but I'd like to have a universal battery just in case, though.
I've been looking at different batteries and stuff and they all say 95% compatible with Apple, Dell, etc. but of course Asus is never on that list. And when I do google searches, anything Asus is their eee PCs. So I don't know if any of these will work for me.
I found one at a really good deal but they don't specify which laptops it will fit (other than 95% of them) and no website anywhere shows you the tips they come with nor their measurements. I don't want to spend the money to find out that it won't fit my laptop.
I guess the question is, are Asus laptop (not netbook) power connectors similar to a bigger laptop manufacturer, like Dell, Compaq, or Hp?
